About the Role

  • Greet and assist all customers in a positive and helpful manner

  • Crosssell memorial products as well as different aquamation packages

  • Compassionately assist customers utilizing pet cremation and euthanasia services

  • Issue pet certificate, collect fees, and ensure all proper documentation has been completed

  • Maintain the integrity of data in the animal software system, ensuring animal intakes and dispositions are recorded accurately

  • Educate customers on products available in retail stores. Assist with merchandise sales and other related duties

  • Operate a cash register and handle all types of financial transactions including sales, returns, and opening and closing duties

  • Able to meet with families making arrangements extending empathy and care

  • Effectively manage multiple tasks and fluctuating demands

  • Maintain general cleanliness of desk, work areas and vehicles

  • Answer phones and respond email correspondence in a professional and timely manner

  • Generate content for social media

  • Prepare contracts, communicate service needs both in written and verbal manner

  • Able to work a flexible schedule

  • Follow set processes, schedules and directions for service needs both written and oral

  • Accommodate extensive lifting

  • Work efficiently, independently and manage time well

  • Strong communication skills, both spoken and written

  • Provide support to the manager and crematory operator on an “as needed” basis

  • Help other departments when needed

  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Love of all big and small animals

  • Willing to learn

  • Willing to work with flexible schedule

  • Effective communication skills

  • Must be well organized, goal oriented and self-directed

  • Able to handle and work with deceased pets
