Only quality fleece woud be used so the strips don’t curl and the fleece is anti-pill fleece so it should stand up to washing and sniffing wet noses very well!  The fleece strips are secured to the mat and because the mat is rubber, it won’t slide around or damage flooring.  They are approximately 12” x 12” when finished and weigh 1-1 ¼ lbs or around 600 grams.  The mats are washable, either hand wash or machine wash in cold-warm water, but they should not be put in the dryer.
